For the first time this season, Marquette women’s basketball has missed out on receiving Associated Press top 25 votes in consecutive weeks.
Considering that Marquette started out the season ranked #17 in the country, that is a pretty solid bummer.
The Golden Eagles captured road wins against Xavier and Butler over the weekend, but in the eyes of the voters, that wasn’t enough to repair the damage done by losing to Creighton at home the week before and on the road against DePaul the week before that. That’s pretty fair, if we’re being honest about it.
