It’s been a back and forth year for Marquette in terms of the Associated Press top 25 poll. They’ve been in and out and in and out of the teams getting votes, but never coming close to actually being ranked.
Back on Saturday, Marquette got a 102-101 overtime win over #19 DePaul down in Chicago. As expected following that kind of a win, the Golden Eagles popped back into the Receiving Votes department of the new AP poll after dropping out two weeks ago.
Marquette got four votes for a total of eight points in the poll, making them the unofficial #32 team in the country.
