Marquette women’s basketball finished the week with a record of 5-4 after going 2-1 with home wins over Wisconsin and Army and a road loss to then-#24 Michigan.
The Associated Press voters didn’t penalize the Golden Eagles all that much for their loss to the ranked Wolverines, as MU still earned votes in this week’s poll, one week after falling out of the top 25. Last week, Marquette earned 13 points while appearing on two ballots. This week, it’s nine points by way of the same two voters: David Cloninger of The Post And Courier out of South Carolina (#20) and Patricia Babcock McGraw from the Chicago-area Daily Herald (#24).
