The AVCA dropped their women’s volleyball preseason poll on Wednesday, and boy oh boy, we almost got a chance to crow about a preseason ranking for YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles.
Alas, Marquette finishes up in the preseason poll as the unofficial #26 team in the country. The Golden Eagles ended up with 163 points, trailing 25th place Colorado State’s 174 by just 11 points.
Marquette is scheduled to play six matches in the 2018 season against teams ranked in the preseason top 25. Four of those six will quite conveniently come within the friendly confines of the McGuire Center.
