Marquette Men’s Soccer Starts The Spring With A Win

It took Beto Soto 92 minutes and 37 seconds to make a major impact in his Marquette men’s soccer career.

That’s the moment when Soto, a freshman from Houston, knocked home a Christian Marquez pass to give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 overtime victory over Loyola-Chicago Ramblers in the first game of the 2021 spring season for both teams. MU moves to 1-0-0 on the year, but also 14-0-1 all time against Loyola.

It was not the most entertaining or engaging soccer match you’ll see. The two sides combined for just 19 shots in 90 minutes of regulation play.
