Marquette men’s lacrosse took their second crack of the season at Denver on Saturday. The end result — a loss — was the same as the first go-round, but the pathway was a lot different. Earlier this season, the Golden Eagles woke up from a rough start to fight the Pioneers tooth and nail the rest of the way in a 10-9 loss.
As we talked about in the preview for this game, that game may have woken up Denver. The #5 ranked Pioneers came in wide awake against the Golden Eagles and took a 4-1 lead after 15 minutes.
