On Saturday, following Marquette’s win over Seton Hall, I was perusing the various other college basketball games on TV, and caught this note from a broadcast: 10 of the 25 teams in the Associated Press’ rankings had lost at least once during the week. Knowing that Marquette has won twice while ranked #21 in the country, I figured a bit of a bump in the polls was headed MU’s way.
I did not expect six spots of bump.
That’s right, YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles are now ranked #15 in the country. That’s their best ranking of the season, and as such, their best ranking under the direction of head coach Steve Wojciechowski.
