On Friday night, YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles knocked off the then-#4 ranked Wisconsin Badgers in very thrilling fashion.
On Monday afternoon, the Associated Press announced their newest top 25 rankings after the past week’s action. As befitting a team with a top five victory, Marquette is earning votes in the poll.
But that’s all they’re doing.
Marquette is not ranked after beating the #4 team in the country, and considering that they weren’t earning votes at all last week, that’s fine. Baby steps. After all, the Golden Eagles did go 1-1 last week with a home loss to Oklahoma State before Friday night’s victory.
