New York — If Marquette is going to end its three-game slide and start to turn things around, the Golden Eagles are going to have to do so in the middle of a blizzard.
Despite Winter Storm Jonas blanketing the East Coast with snow, including upward of 12 inches predicted for New York City, Marquette's matchup with St. John's (7-12, 0-6) at Madison Square Garden is still scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (12-7, 2-5 Big East) will try to put the events of Wednesday night behind them. On that day, they suffered a last-second, 57-56 home loss to DePaul, giving the Blue Demons their first Big East win and first victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center since February 16, 2000, when most of Marquette's current players had yet to start kindergarten.
