After a year away because of the pandemic shutting down last year’s event, YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles are back in the NCAA women’s basketball national championship tournament! It is the fourth consecutive appearance for the Golden Eagles.
They have earned a #10 seed as an at-large team out of the Big East. That gets them a first round game in the Riverwalk region against #7 seed Virginia Tech. That game will be on Sunday, March 21, with tipoff set for 11am Central time and broadcast set for ESPNU. Virginia Tech went 14-9 this season with an 8-8 record in the ACC.
