Marquette gets needed rest, chance to renew focus ahead of visit to DePaul

As one of college basketball's premier conferences, the Big East doesn't offer its teams much respite. With more parity in the conference this season, the grind has been especially difficult.

Marquette (16-10, 5-8 Big East) recently caught a bit of a break with a week off heading into Saturday's 1 p.m. contest at DePaul (8-17, 2-11). The lull was Marquette's longest since Christmas.

The opportunity for the Golden Eagles to catch their breath came on the heels of four games in 11 days, including a double-overtime win over Providence followed by a quick turnaround for a game against Creighton.
