Marquette does enough to defeat Butler on the road for 14th victory of season

Despite a lack of urgency Wednesday afternoon, Marquette women’s lacrosse keeps writing its narrative.

The Golden Eagles (14-1, 4-0 Big East) scrapped together a 22-16 road win at Butler (5-8, 1-3) in Indianapolis while seniors Mary Schumar and Ellie Henry both set program and individual records respectively as well.

With the win, Marquette keeps its winning streak alive extending it to 11 games.

Statistical Leaders

Senior midfielder Lydia Foust extended her goal scoring streak to 15 games as she found the back of the net seven times. Foust now sits at 51 goals on the season.
