Fischer helps Marquette edge Georgetown 88-87

MILWAUKEE -- Luke Fischer scored a career-high 23 points, including the go-ahead free throws with 1.2 seconds left, and Marquette edged Georgetown 88-87 Tuesday night.

Georgetown trailed much of the game, but made a 14-6 run late in the second half and Isaac Copeland's 3-pointer with 3:53 put the Hoyas up one, 78-77.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera's jumper with eight seconds left put Georgetown up 87-86, but his foul with 1.2 seconds to go put Fischer on the line and he made both. Copeland's last-second heave from three-quarters court hit the back rim.
