Blockton's 18 points leads MU trio in double digits

Indianapolis — The Marquette women's basketball team sailed to its second Big East victory this season, 80-64, at Butler on Sunday, paced by 18 points from freshman Allazia Blockton.

Blockton tallied 17 of her 18 points in the second half and she grabbed five rebounds with three steals, while Natisha Hiedeman and Erika Davenport also posted double digits with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Hiedeman dished out a career-best six assists and matched a career high with five steals in the game. Amani Wilborn led the Golden Eagles (7-11, 2-5) with a career-best eight rebounds.

"This is a huge bounce-back win for us," head coach Carolyn Kieger said.
