Carolyn Kieger’s team just can’t seem to get themselves on a permanent upwards trajectory this season. Marquette just keeps ping-ponging in and out of the Receiving Votes department of the Associated Press poll, and after two losses over the weekend, MU finds themselves back on the outside looking in without any votes this week.
The Golden Eagles weren’t getting votes for two straight weeks before beating a ranked DePaul squad to get themselves some national attention last week. They followed that up by losing to a Providence squad with a sub-150 RPI, which probably singlehandedly ruined their chances at votes this week.
