And as this comment appeared at the bottom of Monday’s column, for the record I also ‘namechecked’: Chelsea, Manchester United, Charlton, Millwall, Coventry, Blackpool, Blackburn, Leyton Orient, Leeds, Portsmouth, Hereford and Hereford United (two different clubs), Crewe, Queens Park Rangers, Stockport County, Huddersfield, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Rotherham, Derby, Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Rangers and Norwich. So that’s 25 clubs, including one from Scotland, so roughly one quarter of the league. Not bad going for one column, and certainly a reasonable contradiction of a claim of single-club bias.
