But their social media team scored a spectacular own goal with a recent post celebrating the career of Sergio Aguero.
On Tuesday, the official City account posted to say it was '2 years ago today [that Aguero] played his final game for City!' showing footage of the smiling striker bidding farewell to the Etihad Stadium crowd on May 23, 2021 after scoring two goals in a 5-0 demolition of Everton – putting the gloss on another title triumph.
