Women's World Cup: Reds' last-16 opponents revealed

After England already confirmed their place in the last-16 on Wednesday night, Jackie Groenen and the Netherlands also sealed their spot in the knock-outs thanks to a 2-1 victory over Canada, with Groenen playing the full 90 minutes in defence.

After a goalless first half, which saw a penalty for the Dutch denied by VAR, Anouk Dekker broke the deadlock as the Montpellier midfielder rose to head in Sherida Spitse's free-kick.

However, Canada hit back, six minutes later, with skipper Christine Sinclair firing home following a brilliant ball into the box by Ashley Lawrence.

The reigning European champions weren't pegged back for long though, and restored their lead with 15 minutes to spare as substitute Lineth Beerensteyn slid in to meet Desiree van Lunteren's low cross from the right.
