Wheatley reacts to historic honour

The 18-year-old forward was introduced as a stoppage-time substitute by Erik ten Hag during the Reds’ 4-2 Premier League victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.

Wheatley, who was born in nearby Stockport, became the club’s 250th player to graduate from the Academy in the process, as he replaced goalscorer Rasmus Hojlund at Old Trafford.
