'What the f*** am I doing here?': Nick Powell reflects on becoming an outcast at Manchester United, being 'f***ing nailed' in training by Paul Scholes and clashing with Phil Neville

Nick Powell claims he did not 'feel' like a Manchester United player and would play PlayStation to try and forget about football.

Powell was headhunted by Sir Alex Ferguson and signed for United in 2012, armed with a 'wonderkid' status having impressed at Crewe.

But with a lack of game-time and a crisis of confidence, something he puts down to being a 'perfectionist', Powell soon became isolated from the rest of the dressing room as he felt he did not have a place.

In his autobiography, former United left back Patrice Evra was dismissive of Powell.
