Wayne Rooney’s son Kai scored his first goal for Manchester United’s Under-18s in his second appearance for the side.

The 15-year-old made headlines last week when he was promoted three age groups to debut against Everton.

On Saturday, he was once again named on the bench for the clash with Middlesbrough.

Kai was introduced in the second half by Darren Fletcher - one of his father’s former United teammates, who is now working with the academy set-up.

And he wasted little time in making his mark, firing in a deflected half-volley in the 76th minute with United already cruising at 4-0.
