Wayne Rooney has revealed that he wants Manchester United to re-sign a player that Erik ten Hag allowed to depart on a free.
With United in 16th place in the Premier League following a woeful campaign it is clear that Ruben Amorim's squad requires significant improvement.
United still have the chance to end the season with some silverware as they take on Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
If they were to prevail in that fixture then Amorim's team would secure their place in the Champions League for next season.
