Andy, who was nicknamed ‘The Goalie’, announced in April that he had terminal cancer and our club joins the football world today in mourning his passing.
Goram is best known as a player for Rangers, with whom he made 260 appearances and proudly won five league titles and five domestic cups.
He is a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame, and was named both the Scottish PFA and Football Writers’ Player of the Year in 1992/93. In a supporters' poll in 1999, he was voted Rangers' greatest goalkeeper of all time.
Goram joined United on loan during the 2000/01 season and made two appearances in our successful run-in to the Premier League title.
