United and Celtic conclude charity double header

The Celtic Park clash, finishing in a 2-2 draw and a home success via spot-kicks, followed on from the two sides meeting at Old Trafford almost exactly one year prior, when Celtic prevailed via penalties after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.

On that occasion, more than 33,000 supporters watched on in M16 as over £1 million was raised for Manchester United Foundation’s community work to support young people, which takes place across all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester and other outreach areas in the United Kingdom.

This time, all funds raised from the fixture are going towards Celtic Foundation, which will primarily be used for the continuation and development of its Paradise Pit Stop project.
