The players visited Trafford Veterans, where they painted war figures and spoke with attendees about their experiences.
The group then visited the Imperial War Museum, situated close to Old Trafford, and joined an educational talk about the Christmas Truce, led by museum volunteers.
As part of the project, the Under-12s visited the Stretford War Memorial, where the team laid a wreath and wrote poems inspired by former player, Sandy Turnbull, who lost his life in World War I and is commemorated on the memorial.
On the day, poems were selected to be read aloud by two of our players - Thierry and Maker, followed by a minute’s silence.
