Fans have hailed Manchester United defender Luke Shaw's 'extraordinary' comeback from injury after only just noticing the gruesome scar on his right shin following his horror double leg break in 2015.
He was on the receiving end of a forceful challenge from PSV Eindhoven's Hector Moreno during a Champions League match eight years ago that kept him out for almost a year.
The left-back has since revealed that he nearly lost his leg as a result of the tackle, and supporters were able to see the scar left behind by the surgery he underwent when a picture circulated on social media following United's 3-0 win against Leicester on Sunday.
