The new issue of official club magazine Inside United puts Bruno Fernandes centre-stage as it salutes some of the greatest creative Reds down the years.

Bruno’s powers of productivity are undoubted and, indeed, currently unmatched – our Magnifico, who added another assist to his tally against Newcastle United in the week on his return from a rare injury absence – has created more chances than any other player in Europe’s top-five leagues this season (just one of many stats underlining Bruno’s remarkable inventiveness since joining United in 2020).

Bruno’s unending enterprise earns him a place on the magazine’s front cover, as well as among seven Reds picked out for their artistry, imagination and sheer creativity in the United shirt down the ages.

Also chosen by Inside United’s panel of writers are Eric Cantona (“an ingenious, innovative and utterly compelling footballer”), George Best (“such expression and freedom”), Juan Sebastian Veron (“capable of the truly spellbinding”), Dimitar Berbatov (“injected creativity into everything he did”), Wayne Rooney (“footballing intelligence on a higher plane”) and Paul Scholes (“so all-seeing and all-knowing”).
