Ahead of the match, Erik conducted an interview with MUTV where he was asked about the benefits of our young players having the opportunity to play at the Theatre of Dreams.
"I think it is great for the fans to see our players who are not yet in front of them," said the boss. "They are playing in the Under-21s, but they are not far away and on short notice they can line up in the first team.
"It is a great opportunity to see them.
"And for the players it is very important because they already have then the experience of playing at Old Trafford.
