Lisandro Martinez has returned to first-team training this week, after almost nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
While the sight of the Argentina international at Carrington is a welcome one, Amorim clarified that he is not in contention for the matchday squad at The City Ground.
The boss also revealed that Harry Maguire is still a doubt for this fixture, having also missed the 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion due to injury.
"He [Martinez] wants to go to this one, he is not going to this one, he is going to take time,” said Amorim, at his pre-match press conference.
