Swansea City are considering an approach to Ryan Giggs as Francesco Guidolin fights to keep his job at the Liberty Stadium.
The Italian is known to retain the support of the club’s new American owners, but it is understood that other senior elements at Swansea, including chairman Huw Jenkins, are open to making a change following a poor start to the season.
Given the public respect shown to Jenkins by the owners, Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien, it is feasible they could yet change their stance and choose a new manager.

That would open the door to Manchester United legend Giggs, who has an admirer in Jenkins but is yet to receive any contact from the club.
