Sofyan Amrabat's brother Nordin reveals that Manchester United wanted to sign the Morocco midfielder on loan with an option to buy in January but Fiorentina rejected the offer

Sofyan Amrabat's brother has revealed that Manchester United attempted to sign the midfielder on loan with an option to buy in the closing stages of the January transfer window.

Amrabat received a lot of praise for his performances at the World Cup, where he helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

That led to there being much interest in Fiorentina star Amrabat, with his brother Nordin disclosing that three teams tried to strike a deal in late January.

United were one of the teams that made an approach, but Fiorentina rejected the offer.
