United had led for much of the Women’s Super League encounter at Walton Hall Park after Ella Toone’s 10th-minute opener.
The Reds gained a firm grip on the contest as a result too but ultimately let three points slip following a miscommunication at the back which saw Simone Magill equalise in the latter stages for the hosts.
