Sergio Romero reveals he has tested negative for the coronavirus after the Manchester United goalkeeper undertook two-week self isolation stint in Buenos Aires hotel

Sergio Romero has revealed that he was tested for coronavirus as the Manchester United goalkeeper undertook two weeks in quarantine in Argentina.

The 33-year-old was concerned he may have contracted the disease on his 14-hour flight home. Argentina has seen 185 people die from the deadly virus and is currently observing strict lockdown measures.

Romero self-isolated for two weeks in a hotel in Buenos Aires before taking the test. He had to wait three days before returning home to his family after the test returned a negative result.

'I came back to Argentina on March 22,' the back-up goalkeeper told Manchester United's official app.
