Former Manchester United midfielder Fred made his debut for Fenerbahce in their victory over Samsunspor.
The Brazilian secured a £13million move away from Old Trafford, ending his five-year spell with the club.
Edin Dzeko netted the opener in the second half before Fred thought he had got on the scoresheet himself on his debut.
However, the former Man United man saw his strike disallowed for offside in the 72nd minute before being replaced with five minutes to go after an impressive debut in Turkey.
Sebastian Szymanski scored the second late on, netting his goal in the 99th minute, to seal the win.
