Ruben Amorim apologised for a ‘disaster season’ as Manchester United’s head coach, but promised that better times are around the corner.
The United boss made good on his promise to say sorry to supporters after the last game at home at home to Aston Villa, which United won with goals from Amad Diallo and a Christian Eriksen penalty on his final appearance.
And having warned the club that ‘the storm was coming’ shortly after his arrival – a prophecy that came painfully true – Amorim struck a more positive note as he addressed fans on the pitch by vowing to bring happier times back to the club.
