Rio Ferdinand insists 'remorseful' Kurt Zouma still 'needs punishment' for cat-kicking incident as he praises West Ham captain Mark Noble for calling a meeting to deal with the controversial issue

BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed 'remorseful' cat-kicking Kurt Zouma 'needs punishment', and praised Mark Noble for dealing with the situation.

Zouma, 27, previously came under scrutiny after a horrifying Snapchat video revealed the West Ham defender kicking and slapping his Bengal cat across his £2million London home.

The footage emerged the day after he appeared for the Hammers in their FA Cup victory over non-league Kidderminster Harriers.
