REVEALED: Qatar WILL be allowed to bid for Manchester United after getting the green light from UEFA - despite concerns over conflict of interest with Qatar Sports Investments already owning Paris Saint Germain

UEFA seem set to give Qatar the green light to take over Manchester United despite the apparent conflict of interest it could cause in the Champions League, given that Qatar Sports Investments owns Paris Saint Germain.

With initial bids for United due into the Raine Group, the bank running the auction, this week, a group of Qatari investors are understood to be ready to register their interest in taking over United.

The only public bidder so far is British petro-chemicals billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who has enlisted Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase in pursing his potential takeover.
