Chelsea are reportedly edging closer to a deal for RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons, with the Blues expected to submit an official bid soon.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who was once a wonderkid at Barcelona, is likely to leave the Bundesliga club this summer after they failed to secure Champions League football.
Talks have been progressing well between Chelsea and Leipzig representatives over a deal, with a verbal agreement 'almost done', according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.
But Chelsea are thought to be holding off submitting their first bid for the £60million-rated attacker while they try to offload more players.
