The youngsters will tackle German opposition at Altrincham's J. Davidson Stadium in a 19:00 BST kick-off.

It is the latest part of a games programme being organised by the Academy to ensure the youth players gain valuable experience against continental opposition, following the success of a summer tournament, staged at the AJ Bell Stadium, for the Under-18s.

“Everyone is really looking forward to the game against Hertha BSC II,” said Head of Academy Nick Cox. “It is another fixture we believe will be hugely beneficial for the development of our Academy players.

”We are always looking to provide the best experience for our players; the recent games in Northern Ireland for our Under-23s, participation in the EFL Trophy and the inagugural AJ Bell Trophy tournament are great examples of the Academy's innovative games programme.
