Wayne Rooney has revealed that he thought Ravel Morrison was better than Paul Pogba 'by a country mile' during his days in Manchester United's youth setup.
Rooney believes that the separate paths the duo have taken in their careers as professionals shows how skill can only get you so far at the highest level is application is lacking.
Pogba is a World Cup winner with France and the centre-piece of the current United team, despite a 2019-20 season hindered by injury, and enjoyed a trophy laden tenure with Juventus. Morrison, meanwhile, is currently on loan at Middlesbrough from Sheffield United - the 11th team of his career at the age of 27.
