Ralf Rangnick calls on 'very gifted' Mason Greenwood to earn more game time as he admits he would love to play the 20-year-old more often at Manchester United

Ralf Rangnick has called upon Mason Greenwood to earn more game time at Manchester United.

The interim head coach won his first game in charge on Sunday when United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Old Trafford.

Greenwood was introduced as a second-half substitute, replacing Jadon Sancho just after the hour-mark with the score at 0-0.

Mason Greenwood has been told he must earn more playing time by coach Ralf Rangnick

The 20-year-old kept his composure inside the Palace box to tee up Fred for the winning goal - his first assist of the season in the league.

It adds to the four goals he mustered at the beginning of the season, but, while impressed by the maturity of the display, Rangnick insists he has to earn his appearances by showing dedication on the training pitch.
