The full-back has been included in Tony Popovic's squad for friendlies against Venezuela and Colombia, after impressing at the Under-20 World Cup.
With only Mark Bosnich turning out for the Socceroos whilst with United in the past, there is a fantastic opportunity for the 18-year-old, with Popovic explaining why he has decided to take a closer look at the promising defender.
The Venezuela game takes place in the early hours of Saturday morning, UK time, in Houston, Texas.
"We have good contacts at Man U," Popovic, the former Crystal Palace centre-back, told the Sydney Morning Herald.
