Former Manchester United defender Phil Jones has returned to the club this summer, following in the footsteps of Jonny Evans, with the pair back at Old Trafford.
However, unlike Evans, Jones is not contracted to the Red Devils.
He left Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract earlier this summer after 12 years at Old Trafford.
Jones has since returned to the club, observing a number of academy sessions over the last few weeks.
Sources close to Manchester United say that the former defender has no current plans to join the coaching staff.
