Paul Scholes has seemingly broken rank from other Manchester United legends to defend Bruno Fernandes amid heavy criticism directed at the Portuguese.
Fernandes has been roundly criticised for his behaviour and conduct during United's 7-0 evisceration at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday, with Gary Neville going as far as to call it a 'disgrace'.
Calls have been heightened for Fernandes to lose his status as United's de-facto on-field captain, with the club captain Harry Maguire rarely selected.
However, Scholes leapt to the defence of the player, pointing the finger elsewhere - specifically referring to a lack of quality in various areas on the pitch.
