Paul Scholes brands Edinson Cavani a 'DISGRACE' after he 'hardly ever played' for Manchester United this season with the Uruguayan on his way out of Old Trafford... and claims under-par Raphael Varane 'got away with it'

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has slated Edinson Cavani as he labelled the forward's final season at Old Trafford a 'disgrace'.

The Uruguayan penned a one-year extension last summer but is set to leave the club at the end of this season on a free transfer now his deal with United has run down.

Cavani has endured a woeful season, making only 15 Premier League appearances - with just seven coming as starts - and only found the net twice in all competitions.

Overshadowed by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Cavani almost left the club midway through the season but was persuaded to stay by Ralf Rangnick but withdrew from certain games.
