We saw Paul Pogba dance again on Friday night. The last time he tried a move like the one he pulled on Eric Dier, it was at his brother’s wedding last December and he was castigated for it because he was recovering from an ankle injury at the time. He had not played for a few months and it fitted the general impression that his heart was not at Manchester United any more.
Pogba only came on in the 63rd minute, as a replacement for Fred, in United’s 1-1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but we saw plenty to make the heart sing in the half-an-hour he played and enough to suggest we can make another addition to the list of why the Old Trafford club had the best lockdown of any club in the Premier League.
