Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lines up his first job since Manchester United sacking over two years ago as he's 'interviewed for national team post'

Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly held talks over becoming the next manager of the Sweden national team.

The Norwegian was interviewed by the Swedish Football Association in December and is one of several names in the frame.

Janne Andersson resigned back in November after Sweden failed to qualify for Euro 2024.

Solskjaer, 50, hasn't taken on another job since United sacked him in November 2021 but has subsequently turned down offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia and was linked with Besiktas in Turkey.

Swedish news outlet Fotbollskanalen report the former striker was interested in their national team job but the association will take their time over the appointment.
