My favourite shirt with Graham Stuart: Everton's kit when we beat Man United in the FA Cup final in 1995 was clean and classy... even the name of our sponsors looked striking!

Simplicity is genius and the Everton kit was clean and classy, no experimental designs.

I loved it. Even the name of our sponsors NEC, with white letters against a navy background, looked striking.

For the showpiece occasion against Manchester United, they added the line FA Cup final 1995 above our club crest on the top left. It was a nice touch and gave us an extra sense of occasion.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s team were favourites with stars like Roy Keane and Mark Hughes but we beat them 1-0 and I helped set up the first-half winner for Paul Rideout who scored past goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
