Morocco through, but Cameroon exit AFCON

The Atlas Lions eased to a 2-0 win over a Cameroon side featuring his Manchester United team-mate Bryan Mbeumo in Rabat.

Both Reds played the full 90 minutes, as the hosts largely controlled the quarter-final tie at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Former Manchester City midfielder Brahim Diaz tucked home his fifth goal of the tournament after 26 minutes, using his thigh to nudge home Ayoub El Kaabi’s flick-on.

Walid Regragui’s side, who are bidding to win the tournament for the first time since 1976, then doubled their lead with a quarter of an hour to play.
