Manchester United ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic has headed back to Europe after undergoing surgery on his knee.

The former Sweden international underwent a successful operation on his cruciate ligament under the guidance of knee specialist Dr Freddie Fu at the University of Pittsburgh's Medical Center.

Ibrahimovic was accompanied on a private plane by his former AC Milan team-mate Ignazio Abate.
